A housekeeping contract should be easy to measure. Use this checklist before you sign.
What to put in writing
- Area-wise scope: workstations, pantry, washrooms, lobbies, glass
- Daily, weekly and monthly task frequency
- Manpower per shift and supervisor ratio
- Machines and consumables: who supplies what
- Inspection format and monthly score review
- Uniform, training and background verification
Then review scores monthly, not yearly. Vague scope is the most common reason cleaning contracts disappoint.
